About Me
I am Karee Stosich, LMFT. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Family Life Studies and was a parent coach and family life educator until I finished a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have specialized training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and am Gottman trained. I am currently working on a credential in expressive arts therapy and have training in forest therapy. I value attachment based therapies, somatic & mindfulness concepts, and the behavioral acceptance & commitment model of therapy. I treat various mental health issues and family relationship problems. I take an intrapersonal and interpersonal growth mindset when working with clients.
My credentials are important, but I feel that my personal life experience has given me valuable insight into how to connect and understand people in their own context. I have struggled with family dysfunction, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have close friends and family with substance abuse issues, personality disorders, domestic violence issues, generational trauma, and abuse problems. Struggles and hardships are part of our shared humanity. By acknowledging the difficult, we are empowered to grow together with success, connection, and love! Our shared humanity gives us access to the parts of our world that create meaning and joy!
I am organizing live events online and in person and will have more and more online courses to offer. I am interested in uplifting each individual, our families, communities, and the world in the way I feel I can offer the most authentic good. Please use these resources as you feel you need.
